Job summary

Band 6 District Nurse - 1.0 WTE, 37.5 hours a week.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated District Nurse looking for a opportunity to lead and develop our friendly and supportive Lichfield & Burntwood District Nursing team.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic and motivated and has the confidence to support, coach and develop individuals to deliver consistently high quality services. Excellent communication and time management skills and sound clinical knowledge are essential. You will be responsible for the ongoing assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.

You will be managing a caseload of patients while providing support and supervision for team members and students to enable provision of high quality person-centred care to patients within their own homes which includes ensuring high standards of care are delivered in line with MPFT's policies and meeting locally required targets.

Essential requirements for the post are a Degree in Nursing or equivalent and a Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing.

The successful candidate will be supported by our Lead Specialist Practitioner and Community Nurse Educator.
