Mary Lewis Joins QICN Nursing Team
Mary Lewis, who is Chief Nurse at Sirona Health and Care, has joined the Queen’s Institute of Community Nursing (QICN) to support the charity’s organisational membership scheme and other partnership and engagement opportunities.
Mary will be working for the QICN on an equivalent of a day a week basis and her time to do this is supported by Sirona.
Steph Lawrence MBE, the QICN’s Chief Executive said: “I am delighted that Mary will be joining the QICN to work with us on developing and strengthening our partnership working through organisational membership and other areas of partnership working.
“Mary is a hugely respected and talented nurse leader, and I know she will be a great addition to our team.”
Mary Lewis QN said: “I’m looking forward to working with the QICN to help develop its partnership working particularly in building the membership which allows organisations focused on professional development to enjoy affordable, targeted benefits.”
Julie Sharma, Interim CEO of Sirona care and health said: “We’re delighted to be able to support the Queen’s Institute of Community Nursing through the work of Mary Lewis who brings over 25 years’ experience as a nurse, paired with a wealth of senior leadership experience.
“Within Sirona we already have a number of Queen’s Nurses who have benefitted enormously from the support and professional development they have received.
“This is a great way for us to continue to help further the reach of the Institute to nurses across the country and we are proud that Mary has been chosen to help lead on that work.”
The QICN’s organisational membership scheme was launched in 2024 for providers of community health services in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
There are currently 35 organisations signed up to the scheme, which offers a wide range of benefits to staff, focused on providing professional development opportunities that are targeted and affordable.
