Recruitment open for Trustee to join RCN Foundation Board
The RCN Foundation is recruiting as part of a proactive succession planning process to replace a Trustee who will be retiring from the Board in 2027.
It is seeking a Trustee with a background in nursing or midwifery to join its Board from June 1, 2027.
Four of the RCN Foundation’s Trustees must be RCN members, thus, for this particular vacancy, you must be an RCN member.
The RCN Foundation is particularly keen to hear from candidates from ethnically diverse backgrounds, as these groups are currently under-represented on its Board.
This is an in excellent opportunity to contribute to supporting and strengthening nursing and midwifery and shaping the UK’s healthcare landscape.
You will bring energy, passion and drive to the role, and have a desire to make a real difference to the RCN Foundation’s work and through that, its beneficiaries.
Established in 2010, the RCN Foundation is a charity and grant-maker that is committed to supporting nursing and midwifery to improve the health and wellbeing of the public.
The RCN Foundation support the UK’s nurses, midwives and healthcare support workers by: providing advice and funding to members of the nursing and midwifery communities who face hardship; investing in the future of nursing and midwifery through a programme of funding education and career development opportunities; and supporting strategic nursing and midwifery-led projects that demonstrate innovation, and improve patient care and outcomes.
As part of the RCN Group, which also includes the Royal College of Nursing, the RCN Foundation is in a unique position to make a significant and positive difference to nursing and healthcare across the UK.
The RCN Foundation is seeking an outstanding nurse or midwife, who is also an RCN member, to join the Board from June 1, 2027, subject to the completion of the necessary administrative processes.
